The 20-year-old Japanese driver has tested for Double R extensively during the winter in preparation for his European racing debut. He was a top ten regular in his home F3 series last year, and will join Carlos Huertas at Raikkonen Robertson.
Team boss Anthony Hieatt said Nakajima had already impressed in testing.
"Daisuke is a very welcome addition to the team," said Hieatt. "He's already completed a number of tests with us and has gelled very well with his mechanics and engineer.
"His has already shown himself to be extremely quick and I'm looking forward to working with him this season. Both Daisuke and Carlos are very competitive and I know they will be pushing each other hard once the season gets underway next month."
Nakajima, who has been selected for Honda's Formula Dream Project young driver programme, doesn't expect to take long to get up to speed in Britain.
I know it will be a challenge for me this season, but I hope to be winning races from the start," he said. "I did a lot of testing with the team at the end of last year, and I felt very comfortable."
