Rosenzweig joins Carlin's Euro squad

Rosenzweig joins Carlins Euro squad

Carlin Motorsport have completed their Formula 3 Euro Series line-up with the signing of American Jake Rosenzweig.

The 19-year-old Formula Renault graduate will partner British F3 race-winner Brendon Hartley in Europe as Carlin adopt Volkswagen power in the series this year.

"Last year was a good opportunity to familiarise myself with single seater racing in Europe and I'm now looking forward to making the step up to F3 with Carlin," said Rosenzweig, who tested with Carlin at Valencia before Christmas.

"The Euro Series is one of the most competitive championships and the combination of a large amount of testing, an impressive calendar, and a drive with Carlin represent a great opportunity at this stage in my career."

Team owner Trevor Carlin added: "Jake came to us for a speculative test at Valencia and we were immediately impressed with his approach and technical understanding.

"He has the raw pace and talent to be an asset to the team this year and we look forward to working with him and developing him into a front-running driver. Jake will have a great teammate in the form of Brendon Hartley and I'm sure we can expect some great results from both of them."
